The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, developing tailored solutions, and providing technical expertise throughout the sales process. This role requires a strong understanding of web and mobile application development, Odoo ERP, and cloud infrastructure (specifically Google Cloud Platform – GCP). The Presales Engineer will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between sales and technical teams, ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
- Conduct in-depth discussions with potential clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
- Accurately document customer requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Solution Design and Proposal Development:
- Develop comprehensive Statements of Work (SoWs) that outline project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Design and propose solutions based on web, mobile application, and Odoo ERP technologies.
- Prepare technical proposals.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to showcase proposed solutions.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams:
- Liaise with GCP and Data teams to address technical inquiries and ensure alignment on proposed solutions.
- Effectively communicate customer requirements and technical specifications to development and implementation teams.
- Follow up on any open items with technical teams in order to complete proposals.
- Server Sizing and Infrastructure Planning:
- Assess customer needs and determine appropriate server configurations and infrastructure requirements.
- Perform server sizing calculations and provide recommendations for optimal performance and scalability.
- Have a good understanding of cloud based infrastructure, and be able to explain it to customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Presales Engineer or similar technical sales role.
- Strong understanding of web and mobile application development principles and technologies.
- Experience with Odoo ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to effectively size servers and plan infrastructure.
- Ability to document requirements and create clear and concise SoWs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in GCP or related cloud technologies.
- Experience with database technologies and data management.
- Experience with API integrations.
